Chorten Kora is one of Bhutan’s most revered stupas, located in the eastern part of the country in Trashiyangtse. Built in the 18th century by Lama Ngawang Loday, this stunning chorten is said to resemble the famous Boudhanath Stupa of Nepal. It is an important pilgrimage site for Bhutanese Buddhists and attracts visitors for its spiritual significance and unique architectural design.

The chorten is surrounded by beautiful landscapes, including dense forests and rolling hills, making it a peaceful and serene location for reflection and meditation. Best Time to Visit: The best months are March to May and September to November, when the weather is clear and favorable for exploration.

How to Reach: Chorten Kora is located approximately 10 kilometers from Trashiyangtse town, and can be reached by car or a short trek from the town.
